Shuyak Kilik Nipatu WPD

Keanu was one of six reds in a litter of nine. ‘Nipatu’ is Inuit Indian for ‘noisy’, he got this name because from the moment he could make noise he never shut up. Keanu was such a softy and all those that met him instantly fell in love with his gentle nature. He loved the show ring even though the judges found his colouring very different and didn’t know what to do with him. Some judges fell in love with how animated he was for the slightest thing – even a leaf moving! He gained 70 points towards his Australian champion title but due to personal reasons he was retired early. He excelled at backpacking and gained his working packdog title with ease. Keanu has left a big hole in my life now that he has gone. The house is so much quieter. He came out for one last show at the Spitz Breed Veterans Parade in 2006 and made everyone laugh when he realized that he was going to get a present for being there. Nobody would have thought he was eleven and a half at the time.

He is sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
